A practical guide to setup, device compatibility, permissions, recording, spatial scanning and local-network broadcasting.
Getting started
Arxens requires iOS 17.0 or later and is designed for iPhone. Open a feature from the home screen, review the requested system permission, and keep the camera view unobstructed.
Feature availability depends on the device. Spatial Scan and some hardware-depth modes require a LiDAR-equipped iPhone.
Device compatibility
Human Pose, Object Detection and model-based Depth Estimation run on supported iPhones. Performance varies with device generation, scene complexity, lighting and temperature.
Spatial Scan requires compatible LiDAR hardware. If a capability is unavailable, Arxens shows the supported path for the current device rather than enabling an incompatible mode.
Permissions
Camera access is used for visual capture and spatial sensing. Local Network access is used to discover compatible desktop receivers and broadcast data after you start it. Microphone and Motion access are requested only when you enable the corresponding data sources.
You can review or revoke permissions in iOS Settings. A related feature may remain unavailable until its required permission is restored.
Recording and replay
Recordings are saved locally on your iPhone. Open History to browse, replay, share or delete completed sessions.
Keep enough free storage before a long capture. Do not force-quit the app while a recording is finishing or while a spatial reconstruction is being created.
Spatial scanning
Move steadily around the scene, keep surfaces in view from several angles and avoid fast turns, heavy motion blur or large reflective areas. Reconstruction completes on the device after capture stops.
Scan quality depends on lighting, scene texture, motion, occlusion and available device resources. Results are visual reconstructions, not certified measurements.
Local-network broadcasting
Connect the iPhone and compatible desktop receiver to the same trusted local network. Allow Local Network access, choose the data sources, then start broadcasting from Arxens.
Sensor content is sent only after you start broadcasting. Stop broadcasting when it is no longer needed, and verify the receiving device before sharing sensitive surroundings or audio.
